Dave Adami – aka “Uncle Dave”

Grover Silcox, Uncle Dave & John Spross from a recent PBS interview.

Dave “Uncle Dave” Adami was raised in Middletown Twp., PA, and still resides there with his better half, Kim, and legendary pure bred rat terrier “Dooie.” Dave began his frozen dessert career at Jack & Jill Ice Cream and worked for Rita’s Franchise Corporation prior to opening Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream at Shady Brook Farm. Being lifelong friends with Dave and Paul Fleming, and their sister, Amy Lamb (owners of Shady Brook Farm), made it obvious to Uncle Dave that Shady Brook Farm was a great fit for a traditional farm-based super premium ice cream experience. “I am grateful for the timing of Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream opening at Shady Brook Farm. The timing of Uncle Dave’s opening coincidentally happened at the same time farm ownership was investing heavily in a future vision that recently culminated with the Stone’s Throw pub, Rose Bank Winery, daily and weekly family oriented farm experiences and attractions, PLANT, The Market at DelVal, JustFood Catering and Confection Perfection all coming together under one roof. We focus on providing an excellent product with a world class service experience and our guests continue to respond.”

FUN FACT: Dave “Uncle Dave” Adami and his girldfriend, Kim, are three time current back to back to back mixed doubles Bocce Champions in the Bucks County Bocce League. They can frequently be found on the local, regional, national and international bocce scene. “We love the comraderie that comes along with a hard won bocce tournament. We’ve established, and continue to maintain, friendships around the world because of the sport of bocce.”
